What Does the Bible Say About The Mind?
Scripture reveals that your mind is the battleground where faith is either built or undermined—God invites you to guard it, direct it, and surrender it to His truth.
Scripture on The Mind
For the next 24 hours, whenever you notice a thought that contradicts God's truth (shame, fear, despair, lust, pride), pause and name it aloud: 'That's not true. God says...' and replace it with one verse that contradicts that lie.
Prayer
Jesus taught us to pray with honesty and intention (Matthew 6:6), inviting us to bring our minds—doubts, obsessions, and all—before the Father.
Father, I confess that my mind often feels like a battleground. I chase thoughts that pull me away from You. I rehearse fears, replay failures, and imagine things that never happened. Today, I'm asking You to guard my mind—to help me see which thoughts are from You and which ones are lies. Renew how I think. Make me more aware of what I'm thinking about, and give me the power to redirect my mind toward what's true. I surrender my thought life to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
