What Does the Bible Say About Personality?
Scripture reveals that your true character is shaped not by natural temperament, but by what you believe and the Spirit working within you.
Scripture on Personality
Identify one personality trait that doesn't reflect Jesus (harshness, cowardice, pride, coldness). Ask the Holy Spirit to show you where it comes from, and choose one action today that moves you toward the opposite.
Prayer
Jesus invites us to bring our whole selves—flaws and all—before the Father, knowing He doesn't just tolerate us; He transforms us (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Father, I see parts of myself I don't like—ways I'm selfish, defensive, or shaped more by the world than by You. I'm tired of performing, tired of hiding behind my personality quirks when they keep me from loving others well. Remake my thinking. Soften what's hard in me. Make me bold where I'm fearful, humble where I'm proud, and genuinely kind where I've been cold. I can't do this alone. Help me depend on Your Spirit to transform me from the inside out. In Jesus' name, Amen.
